8 weeks later...

Today was Chris' last day of classes at Dakota County Tech. He's a little sad that it's over as he made some great friends, but I'm SO excited to have my husband back! I can't imagine how hard and how much he studied as he went through electrician school.
I'm again VERY proud as I'm able to say that he finished today with close to a 95% for the whole 8 weeks and logged over 1700 miles. We're so thankful that he was able to take part in this program and learn something that he's wanted to learn for a long time. What a great skill to have!
Here's some pictures that he took the last couple of days. :)

Congrats once again to Chris!!!

Congrats Chris!!!

Chris' little graduation get together was so much fun! He's not quite done with school but we figured that it was a justified celebration as he has enough credits to graduate from the program. So... much fun was had!

I'm so proud of all the hard work he has put into learning this new skill. He amazes me constantly with his determination, drive, and dedication to really learn what he is doing. He has constantly throughout these last 8 weeks worked to do the best job he can and just as he is a great electrician, he is a great driver as well.

We started Chris' day by meeting up with everyone at Fudrucker's for burgers and learned just HOW much Mady likes cheese!!! Her grilled cheese was even better dipped in cheese sauce!!!

Pretty sure that I'm going to just take her word for that one! We then headed back to our house for cake and the first bonfire of the year!!!! I'm so glad that the weather was great and we were able to enjoy one of the first warm days of the spring!

Sunday we went to the Twins game against the Indians!!! GO TWINS!!!

Sadly, none of us made it on the FAN CAM, but that'll just leave something for next time!

Tigo fun

I haven't blogged about Tigo in quite a while and he's feeling a bit neglected. :)

I was going through my pictures on my camera and found these that I had taken. We were going to bed one night and as what has become the custom, Tigo jumps in and curls up at our feet. On THIS particular night, he had other plans.....

HOW cute is he? and HOW assuming!!!

Um, yeah, that would be MY pillow!!!

We had a treat from DQ the other night which Tigo finished...
What a good boy to leave nothing to waste. :)

WE TURNED IN OUR SELF STUDY QUESTIONS!!!
YAY!!! What a HUGE job done! On Friday I took off work at noon so that we could take our finished questions to Children's Home Society. So now we'll be assigned to a social worker who will set up visits, 2 at the office and 1 at our home. That'll be just a bit stressful!!!

We also spent Saturday at a workshop on Transracial Parenting. The presenter was great and we took away a lot of information to process. I'll write more about this when I have more time and when I've processed it just a bit more.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!
