OKOBOJI CAMP REUNION!!!

Last weekend was packed FULL of fun with the Okoboji Lutheran Bible camp reunion and quilt auction. WHAT a great time we had! It's so fun to go back and see friends who have been such an amazing part of my life! It's strange how I forget how much I miss them, until I see them! It's also strange how there seems to be no time lost when we get together again. Lives have changes, babies born, weddings have happened, and yet...the friendships are still the same.

One highlight was from the Friday night Dry Bone's concert. It was so great to see them back together and to get a peak into how much fun they were having to be playing together again. It's amazing how songs will bring back such strong memories. Chris was able to listen to the CD on the way to camp so that he was able to recognize the songs. I love watching him making memories at a place that is so important to me.

It was also quilt auction weekend and we were able to see incredible gifts in giving as people gave of their hearts in the quilts that were donated to camp, and then in those that purchased the quilts. I'm always blessed by watching people give in order for camp to keep doing what it does in reaching lives for Jesus. Chris and I did bid on a couple of quilts but had no success as people (including a past youth group girl of mine!!!) outbid us. I guess we just have good taste and pick the one's that everyone else wanted as well! Oh well, there's always next year! It's good to know that we up'd the bids on a few of them!

The weekend was even more special because Ann brought Mike along for his first "camp experience." It was fun to see camp through his eyes. There were too few sing alongs for someone's first time at camp, but I promise Mike we'll make that different for next year!!!!

It also was fun to play with Mady and Elim and see their joy at getting to be at camp. I love it that it's such a special place for them now to!

ok, on to posting some pics. I promise I'll learn someday soon how to break the pictures up. If my dear blogging friends would share their wisdom in an e-mail sometime, I'd greatly appreciate your help. hehehe It will make my posts a LOT more fun to read, I'm sure!
Blessings to you!
